Our No-Stress Prospect Process
Here’s what you can expect when you reach out to us:
Introductory Call

STEP 1
Introductory Call
Every relationship begins with a simple conversation. During this 15-30 minute call, we’ll learn a bit about your situation and answer any initial questions you may have.
No paperwork, no pressure, just a genuine opportunity to connect and see if we might be the right fit for your situation.
Discovery Meeting

STEP 2
Discovery Meeting
Our next step is to get a clear picture of your financial landscape. We’ll discuss what you’ve inherited, the investments and savings you already have, your goals, and any immediate decisions weighing on you.
This meeting helps us understand the emotional and financial parameters of your inheritance, ensuring our recommendations truly reflect what matters most to you.
Presentation

STEP 3
Presentation
Next time we meet, we’ll walk through the personalized plan we’ve designed for you. We’ll show you how everything fits together and outline practical next steps. Our hope is you leave this meeting feeling calmer and clearer on what to do next.
We’ll encourage you to sleep on it before moving ahead, because we want you to feel excited and confident in your decision to work with us.
Our Onboarding Process
Plan Implementation
Based on what we’ve already learned and discussed, we’ll begin putting our recommendations into action. The goal here is to help you rest easy at night, knowing your money is working for you (even when you’re not looking).
For example, we may identify ways to save on taxes, ensure beneficiaries are in order, or determine how to handle inherited property.
30- and 90-Day Check Ins
In the first 90 days, there will be lots of paperwork and moving parts. You can expect us to coordinate with your tax professional and begin aligning your accounts.
These check-ins are to help make sure you feel comfortable and confident in the way things are going.
Yearly Check-In
While you sit back and enjoy life without worrying about your wealth, we’ll continue do do the heavy lifting behind-the-scenes. We’ll meet once a year (or more, as needed) to check in on your plan.
If there’s one thing we’ve learned over the years, it’s that the only constant is change. We’ll make sure your investments and your plan align with your ever-evolving needs and life circumstances.

What Our Clients Say
FAQs
How often will we meet once we initiate the process?
Our No-Stress Prospect Process can take as little as a couple of weeks or as long as a few months. It depends entirely on your schedule and comfort level. We never want you to rush such an important decision.
If we decide to move forward together, we will meet several times the first year to ensure we are aligning all elements of your plan with your goals and needs. After that, we typically meet with clients once or twice a year (again, depending on your schedule and comfort level), and more often when life calls for it.
How do you work with clients across the country?
Although our headquarters are in Santa Barbara, CA, we meet virtually via Zoom with all clients. This allows us to work with the people who will get the most value out of our services, without the limitation of geographic location.
Also, we feel that topics such as money, family, and the future are best discussed when you feel comfortable and relaxed. What better place than your living room?
How are you compensated?
We are compensated through an asset-under-management (AUM) fee, which is a percentage of the assets we manage on your behalf. Our fees begin at 1.20% annually.
Because our fee is based on the value of your portfolio, our incentives are aligned with yours: when your portfolio grows, we grow together. We’re always happy to walk through our fee structure and answer any questions.
Why should I hire a financial advisor?
Because your financial security, freedom, and peace of mind is too important to leave to guesswork. A good advisor helps you make confident decisions—about investing, taxes, your legacy, and more. We act as fiduciaries, always putting your best interests first, and we guide you through complex choices so you can focus on enjoying life, not stressing about money.
Do you work with people who haven’t inherited wealth?
Yes. While many of our clients have inherited assets, we also work with individuals and families who have built their wealth over time, or who are experiencing other financial windfalls, such as business sales, divorce, and insurance payouts.
What matters most is whether there’s a good fit—shared values, trust, and a mutual desire for long-term partnership.
Do I have enough to work with you?
Most of the individuals and families we serve have $2 million or more in investable assets. This typically includes a combination of inherited wealth and accumulated savings.
As fiduciaries, we are obligated to act in your best interest at all times. In order to do that well, we ask to manage all assets available for direct investment. This allows us to see the full picture and provide advice that is thoughtful and comprehensive.
I’ve just gotten a divorce—does that make me an inheritor?
In some ways, yes. Divorce can create many of the same financial questions and opportunities that come with an inheritance.
If you’re navigating that transition, we’re here to listen and help you determine whether our services align with your needs during this new chapter.
